Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Prolific young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the firm stated: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was reached following an inquiry regarding allegations of inappropriate behaviour involving women.
The firm did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books altogether, which features a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
